Windy Hill Open Space Preserve Description
Windy Hill Open Space Preserve is located in Portola Valley, CA and sits north of Monte Bello and Russian Ridge Open Space Preserves.
This 1335-acre preserve offers 12 miles of trails for hikers, mountain bikers and equestrians. Hikers and equestrians can make an eight-mile loop within the preserve taking Hamms Gulch, Eagle, Razorback Ridge and Lost Trails. Spring Ridge Trail is popular with bicyclists while a short hike on Anniversary Trail offers great views of the bay.
Windy Hill offers an excellent venue for hang gliding and paragliding. A special activity permit is required though for these activities. Dogs on leash are allowed on many trails within the preserve.
